This Privacy Policy describes how Cat & Bull Lab (“we”) handles information when you use AI Offline Translator for macOS (the “App”).

Summary

• Offline translation runs on your Mac; model weights stay on your device.
• Online translation is proxied through our Cloudflare Worker so the model API key is not stored in the App binary.
• We do not sell personal data.

Data the App processes

Text you translate

When you translate, the App sends the source text (and related settings such as language pair and prompt) to the selected engine:

• Offline engines — processed locally on your Mac.
• Online AI (AI Translator) — sent to our Cloudflare Worker, which forwards the request to the model provider and returns the translation. Text is not retained by us for training.
• Bring-your-own keys — sent directly to the provider you configure (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, DeepL, etc.) under that provider’s terms.

Install identifier

The App generates a random install ID and a per-install access token used only to authorize online translation through our Worker. These are stored on your Mac (UserDefaults / Keychain as applicable).

Settings

Language pairs, hotkeys, prompts, window sizes, and similar preferences are stored locally on your Mac.

Accessibility

If you grant macOS Accessibility permission, the App can read the selected text and paste a translation. That permission is controlled entirely by macOS System Settings; we do not receive Accessibility data on our servers.

Third parties

Online features rely on Cloudflare (hosting / Worker) and, when enabled, your chosen AI or MT provider. Purchases go through Paddle (Merchant of Record); Paddle processes payment details under their privacy policy — we do not store your full card number.

Those parties’ privacy policies apply to processing they perform.
