Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Cat & Bull Lab (“we”, “us”, “our”) processes information when you use Preplanning Gantt (“PreGantt”, “the App”), an Atlassian Forge application for Jira Cloud.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept this policy for that organization.

2. Where the App runs
The App is built on Atlassian Forge and runs within your Atlassian Cloud site. Application data is stored using Atlassian-hosted infrastructure (Forge app storage / Key-Value Store) in accordance with Atlassian’s platform policies and your site’s data residency settings.
We do not operate our own application servers for core App functionality. Jira issue data is accessed through Atlassian’s APIs only when you or your users perform actions that require it (for example, syncing or transferring planned work to Jira).
3. Information we process
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following categories of data:

The App is intended for business use within Jira. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
4. Atlassian permissions (scopes)
The App requests the following Forge scopes:
read:jira-work— read issues and related Jira data needed for planning and syncwrite:jira-work— create or update issues when you transfer planned work to Jiraread:jira-user— resolve users for sharing, assignees, and display namesstorage:app— store plans, nodes, dependencies, baselines, and app settings
The App only uses permissions required for its documented features. It does not access data outside the Jira projects and actions you initiate.
5. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Enable plan creation, editing, sharing, baselines, and Jira transfer
- Provide customer support and troubleshoot issues
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your Jira or planning data for advertising or unrelated profiling.
6. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract — to provide the App you or your organization requested
- Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, product improvement (balanced against your rights)
- Legal obligation — where required by law
- Consent — where you voluntarily contact support or opt into optional communications
7. Sharing and subprocessors
We may share information only as needed to operate the App:
- Atlassian — hosting, authentication, Jira APIs, Forge platform
- Payment / marketplace providers — if you purchase through Atlassian Marketplace (billing is handled by Atlassian or its partners; we receive limited transaction metadata)
- Support email provider — messages sent to
support-preplanning@catandbulllab.app - Authorities — if required by law or to protect rights and safety
We require service providers to protect data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
8. International transfers
Data is processed primarily within Atlassian’s cloud infrastructure. If data is transferred outside your country, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or Atlassian’s data processing terms) may apply.
9. Retention
- App data remains in Forge storage while the App is installed and until you or your admin deletes plans or uninstalls the App.
- Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve inquiries and for reasonable record-keeping, then deleted or anonymized.
- We may retain minimal logs or backups where required for security, billing disputes, or legal compliance.
Uninstalling the App from your Jira site stops new processing. Removal of stored App data may be subject to Atlassian Forge retention and uninstall behavior — contact us if you need assistance.
10. Security
We use platform security controls provided by Atlassian Forge, least-privilege API scopes, and access controls for plan sharing. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use strong Atlassian account security and follow your organization’s policies.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Many requests can be fulfilled by your Jira administrator (for example, removing shares or uninstalling the App). For other requests, email support-preplanning@catandbulllab.app. We may need to verify your identity or coordinate with your organization’s admin.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Marketplace listing or release notes where appropriate.
